This product is very personal to me. I had asthma as a boy, and I remember how hard it was just to catch my breath. Every 6 weeks or so I was bed-ridden for up to a week because I could not get enough air into my lungs and because of that couldn’t even eat!
It was at that time, as a sick boy, about 14 years old, that I first thought of the O2LungTrainer. Because when I would recover from the asthma attack, I would feel the air enter my lungs much more easily and immediately felt stronger. But why? I was asking myself. Well, that question was answered soon when I saw a drawing of a pair of lungs at the doctor’s office on the wall. The poster also showed a healthy bronchial tube and an infected bronchial tube next to it. I realized there that I was pulling air in through my infected bronchial tubes for a week, so unknowingly, I was making my inspiratory system stronger since I was breathing in with resistance! With the infection gone and the bronchial tubes completely open, now it was much easier to pull the air in!
So, I needed to come up with a device with which I could control my air intake.
Many years later at the behest of close friends, I finally put my idea into action. I engineered a device to control the air intake and make your inspiratory system stronger. Now, and with the help of the O2LungTrainer, my lung and diaphragm muscles are very strong and my asthma is completely cured (this happened within 3 weeks).
I patented my new device and am offering it to you. My close friends and the Elite Special Forces, SEALS, SWAT, Law Enforcement, Marines, Homeland security, etc whom I train have been using the O2LungTrainer prototypes for a while. Corporate Wellness Clinics all over the country recommend some form of breathing exerciser. Never has there been more evidence of the importance of training your lungs and strengthening your breathing.
I based my O2LungTrainer on a simple, yet powerful concept. By controlling the air INTAKE to your lungs, you immediately begin breathing the correct way – using your diaphragm (belly). The smaller the hole on the air INTAKE side, the harder your diaphragm and lungs need to work to “pull” the air in. As you pull the air in through my O2LungTrainer, focus on using your diaphragm, core and inter costal muscles, (the muscles between your ribs). You are training your lung and diaphragm muscles, and thus making them strong.
Originally, I started using the O2LungTrainer during my workouts, but once I got in contact with the trainer from 4 Olympic Gold medalists from the last Olympics in Brazil (2016), he told me that all the athletes at his place, only do the breathing exercise. He said: “30 repetitions a day is enough”, which will take under 4 minutes.
TIP: A great way to see if your inspiratory system is getting stronger is to “time” every 2 weeks or month the 30 repetitions that you do every day. You will notice that your time will decrease which means that you are getting stronger.
OUR RECOMMENDATION IS TO ONLY DO THE BREATHING EXERCISE ONCE A DAY.
But of course, you can also use it while working out (that’s how I cured my own asthma) I also included a nose clip for the people who try to “cheat” and use their nose a bit to breathe
Now, some athletes like to breathe in through their nose, the O2LungTrainer won't change that, in fact, you are making the muscles for breathing in stronger, (Inspiratory Muscle Training, or IMT). So after using the O2LungTrainer you will be able to breathe through your nose even better because you have more power. See it as working out, you are training your muscles and once you are done, you don't walk around with the weights, you just used the weights to make your muscles stronger. Same counts the O2LungTrainer , and you make them stronger in under 4-minutes a day.
Now, if you decide on working out with the o2trainer, you do this about 4 times a week. Training for 30 min to an hour only 3 or 4 times a week will not make you forget how to breathe in through your nose.
For “working out” with the o2trainer, start out slowly, you will progress in your own time, baby steps are KEY since you want to give your body all the oxygen it needs. Start with the cap that comes on the o2trainer and only change to more resistance when you feel you are getting the same amount in your lungs as when you were training without the o2trainer, because that means you already made your inspiratory system stronger.If you want to do the “breathing exercises” (which is what we recommend), just check out the videos on our website.
